Jesse has been a student of mine since 2004 when he arrived in Australia. He was one of my training and sparring partners while he and I were both fighting on the same local cards prior to my signing with the UFC.

He’s one of my longest active students. I’ve cornered him for amateur BJJ competitions, his professional fights, and have awarded him his black shirt (black belt equivalent) in Muay Thai Kickboxing as well as his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

I consider him to be an exceptional martial artist and believe he could have gone far had he continued to pursue MMA professionally.
