Jesse has been a student of mine since he arrived in Australia in 2004. I’ve been one of his primary instructors across mixed martial arts including Thai kickboxing, wrestling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

His interest has always been focused on mixed martial arts where I cornered him for his professional fights with Cage Fighting Championships. He was even around during the latter period of my UFC career assisting me with fight preparation for my opponents such as Michael Bisping.

I actually gave him his nickname “The Lake” and even arranged UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer to do his personal voicemail which he used for a number of years.

I can speak of his martial arts ability having been responsible for many of the techniques he knows today.
